Electric Dreams is a collection which celebrates the imagery, colour and sounds of the 80's. This collection looks at the 80s pop pallette, the lines, dynamics and contrast - a visual style popularised by early CAD and Patrick Nagel. Hand in hand with the visual is the sound. Synths and rock combine to give a sound which is modern. It was the era of MTV, the music video.
Call Me is all about the fresh attitude of the 80's. The directness that marked an era as young people asserted themselves and create a life they wanted. It was their fashion - their sounds. Call Me features the classic Ray Ban and represents confidence in style.
Originally a design which was larger, this version is a condensed and miniature brooch making this edit a portable version - just like the personal cassette player. This piece uses a mixture of acrylics and paint finishes to create a level of detail which almost defies reality. I can't believe I was able to realise this design this small.
Call Me is approximately 2” (50mm) in across.
Made from laser cut acrylic with plated chain and findings (nickel compliant to British and European standards).
This product is carefully presented inside a Sstutter gift box which has a foam interior.
