š Singaporeās last wild cat, the endangered leopard cat, with Kueh Rainbow Lapis Sagu.
This elusive wild cat is critically endangered in Singapore, and there are around 20 leopard cats left on the island. It has undoubtedly outlived tigers and Asian leopards.
The leopard cat is holding kueh (Malay for cake) lapis sagu, a local layered dessert made from tapioca flour, coconut milk, sugar and pandan leaves. Each layer of the kueh is steamed and stacked on top of each other like a rainbow cake! The colours are inspired by the pride flag š and extending support to the LGBTIQA+ community in Singapore and, more broadly, global too. We all need a bit of love, understanding, kindness to build inclusivity and celebrate our diversity. š
